One of the formidable aspirants for the representative seat of Gbarma and Kongba, district#3, Gbarpolu County, Garmojo Arthur Bono Gballey, has told the Hot Pepper that the reason behind his political ambition for the House of Representatives at the National Legislature is to unite the entire leadership of Gbarpolu County to be able to address the major issues confronting the forward-march of the county. He said if these issues are addressed the county will become second to none in Liberia in terms of development.
Gballey, who is said to be making headways among his fellow contestants in the county, comes to the table with vast experience in leadership, coupled with several international degrees, ranging from a master’s in administrative science, to a bachelor’s in finance and another bachelor’s in economics.
He noted that the issue with Gbarpolu County is unity amongst its leadership and the citizenry there.
According to him, Gbarpolu County is a small county in Liberia, but is blessed with natural resources. The problem confronting it, he says, is the equal distribution of the resources it has. The Gbarpolu County district #3 representative-aspirant explained that, upon succeeding in his ambition, his priority would be to unite the county’s leadership to tackle challenges that affect its people.
He said if he succeeds in the 2023 legislative election, he will work to ensure that the counties in the western region are united for the greater good of development.
Gbarpolu County is one of the newest counties in Liberia, but it has always faced leadership crisis since its establishment. Currently, due to its leadership crisis, the county lacks major developments, such as healthcare service delivery and road pavement. Gbarpolu County is one of the least counties in Liberia when it comes to development.
