This year’s competition marks the fifth edition of the program, and brings together students of the Holy Qur’an from a number of memorization centers.
At the event, students of the Holy Qur’an showcase their reading skills and talents. They are grouped by the number of chapters they memorized.
Speaking to the Hot Pepper, Sheikh Yero Sow, an official of the United Da’wah Ummah of Liberia, said the competition runs from Friday, April 15—Sunday, April 17, 2022, and disclosed that results will be announced on the final day of the competition.
Sow used the occasion to call on the Muslim community of Liberia to grace the occasion, and encouraged Muslim youths to see the competition as a motivation for them to study the Qur’an.
