The National Elections Commission (NEC) on Friday, June 4, 2021 commenced the first in a series of Internal Capacity Enhancement Training for nearly four hundred staff of the Commission in elections management.
Officially launching the NEC Capacity Enhancement Training, the Chairperson of NEC-Liberia, Davidetta Browne Lansanah, promised that the training will continue and that employees will receive certificates or letters of recognition to build their personal portfolio as they complete the training.
The Chairperson of NEC-Liberia promised also that these certificates will be reflected in the files of employees of the Commission, which could be used for future references, internally and externally.
Also speaking, the Chief Technical Advisor of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) Electoral Support Office in Liberia, Lenka Homolkova, promised the UN Body’s robust and long-term support to the NEC, adding that in-house capacity enhancement training for employees of NEC-Liberia was very critical.
