Tender Heart Daycare Primary and Junior High School, Neezoe intersection, Paynesville City, is said to be one of the fastest growing secondary schools in Monsterrado County.
Mother Comfort Pah and Rev. Sherman Chea Pah are the founders of Tender Heart Daycare Primary and Junior High School. Since its establishment in 2016 the school has occupied a two-storey building and is constructing an additional two-storey building. According to the founders, the construction will accommodate classes, bathrooms and additional offices for the school.
They said the establishment of the school was predicted upon the fact that lots of young people are unable to pay their tuition, posing threat to the growth and development of the Liberian society. “As a Christian family, we are committed to giving back to the society through the provision of a comfortable and affordable learning environment to the public,” the school’s founders noted.
Since establishment of the Tender Heart Daycare Primary and Junior high School, it has been providing extra curriculum activities to its students, and is involved into vocational skills development, such as pastry, tailoring, interior decoration, designing, cosmetology, among others.
When asked about the fees for the extra curriculum activities, the founders responded as saying that the school charges only L$1,500 for the entire semester.
According to them, it is compulsory that students from 6th to 9th grades add vocational knowledge to their regular academic activities. They noted that the objective is to see students becoming productive after secondary level. They said Liberia is a country that requires determined minds and productive spirits for the job Market.
According to them, they believe in what they can do for their country, and not what their country can do for them.
