Pastor Diabe Shakes Pres. Weah’s Church

The Assistant Pastor of the Forkyklon Jlaleh Family Fellowship Church, Jestina Miracle Diabe, on Sunday, January 8, 2023 mesmerized the church with a straight sermon that shook the congregation, including the President, George M. Weah, and journalists who had gone there on the invitation of the President to worship with him; writes Ojuku Silver-tongue Kangar, Jr.

Pastor Diabe, who spoke on the theme, “Put God First and Trust God”, Matthew 6:33, with subsequent Bible verses, told the jostling congregation that the fear of God is the beginning of wisdom and it prolongs life.  She rebuked the congregation because some of them are not regular church members but were there because of appointment.

“Some of you here have not been in church for decades, but are here because of appointment,” she said, looking at the congregation without fear. “When the breath leaves you, you become dead,” she added.

Biblically, if one puts God first and trust Him, he shuns evil and promotes morality in the society, according to Pastor Diabe. She noted that some people kill others to acquire wealth and become prominent in the society.

“Some of you killed your friends for land, position, property and do other bad things,” she told the congregation in a harsh tone. “Before the year ended, you renewed your voodoos and chants, and you called yourself Christians. Shame on you!”

However, these days Christians are miracle-driven but do not know the source of miracles. According to Pastor Diabe, not every miracle is God’s, noting that the Devil himself can perform miracles. He did it through Pharaoh’s magicians, whose rods became snakes when Moses threw his rod on the ground and it became a serpent before Pharaoh, according to Exodus 7:9—12

“Prophesy is not bad, but the source of your prophecy,” the President church’s Assistant Pastor said, rebuking Liberians for forsaking God and running after signs and wonders, which is Christian inheritance, according Mark 16:17—18.

“Don’t go back to Egypt, because it is a place of immorality,” she said. “Let your morality be in God.”

“Many people are not patient in life; the race is not to the swift,” she stated. “Some people are mean, including pastors. When you help people, they pray for you,” she noted.
