Police Commissioner Ford Receives Int’l Award

Assistant Police Commissioner for Community Services, Liberia National Police (LNP), Samuel G. Ford, on Thursday, April 27, 2023 received an International Award for Humanity from Vision International Mission (USA) in collaboration with A.M. Kyne Collegiate Resource Center.

   Assistant Police Commissioner Ford, speaking to journalists after the event, expressed delight over the award bestowed upon him by Vision International Mission alongside A.M. Kyne Collegiate Resource Center. The LNP Assistant Commissioner informed the media that the award came as a surprise.

   Assistant Commissioner Ford further stated that the award has imbued him to continue to do work in the interest of the Liberian populace to give service as a professional law enforcer in protecting lives and properties.

   He stated that rendering services as a professional cop in the country is important, and vowed to continue to render such dedicated services to the nation state.

   Assistant Commissioner Ford emphasized that he will continue to be selfless and work to promote humanity throughout Liberia as far as law enforcement is concerned.

   The Assistant LNP Commissioner for Community Services told the media that over the years his office has been very much constructive in dealing with community issues based on the scope of activities as a senior police officer in Liberia.

   He informed the Hot Pepper that the various communities have been supportive of his work over the years.

   He reminded Liberians that, as a public servant, it is always good to put the interest of the people first above personal aggrandizement. He reaffirmed his commitment to work in the interest of the Liberian people by ensuring that law and order continue to prevail in the country.

   Assistant police Commissioner Ford voiced that this is not his first time receiving such an international award for service to humanity.

   Assistant Commissioner Ford has also received the Integrity Icon Award from the Accountability Lab for professionalism.

   Assistant Commissioner Ford was presented the award alongside Vice President Jewel Howard-Taylor, Monrovia City Mayor, Jefferson Tamba Koijee, and other prominent individuals in the society.
