Pres. Weah Fulfills Commitment To Rural Women Of Liberia

President George Weah has fulfilled his commitment to the National Rural Women Structure whom he promised to provide L$5 million for, in order to complement their hard work across the counties.

   Speaking at a program on Monday, September 11, 2023 Deputy Commerce Minister, Wilfred Bangura, said the women initiative is to empower the rural women across Liberia. According to him, rural women is a great structure of the country and also powerful and strong, with the ability to make things to happen, and because of this the President has given his commitment to always support their programs.

   Bangura said the initiative is to ensure that the vision of the rural women of Liberia is achieved.

   He said the program is going to be in all the fifteen counties of Liberia, and each district will benefit L$1 million across the country. According to him, other chapters, towns and villages will benefit from the L$5 million to empower the rural areas in the country.

   Speaking, the President of the National Rural Women of Liberia, Ma Kebbeh Monger, thanked President Weah for his commitment to the Liberia National Rural Women Structure, and for the L$5 million given to the rural women.

   She described the President as “talk and do”, because he has fulfilled his promise. She vowed to continue to work in the interest of the country.
