With his passion for education, Montserrado County’s district #3 Representative, Ceebee Barshell, has disclosed a plan to establish a university in Grand Kru County.
The Unity Party (UP) lawmaker said his vision of establishing a university in Grand Kru County came about when some educators hailing from that county appealed to him to extend such a gesture to their county.
Sawoloday Doe, speaking to the Hot Pepper, confirmed that Representative Barshell’s vision for education cannot be overemphasized, and it is against this background they were moved to appeal to him to establish a university for them in the county.
Doe described the lawmaker as a leader who means well for education. According to him, the UP lawmaker over the years has been contributing to the growth and development of many schools in the Republic of Liberia.
He added that the lawmaker is not only an educator, but a man who means well for society.
Doe voiced that, with the level of support the lawmaker has been providing for many Liberians over the years, he needs to be supported in anything he intends to do.
He also used the occasion to call on other Liberians to emulate the good example of Representative Barshell.
Doe disclosed that during the outbreak of the COVID-19 in the country the lawmaker was there for his people in the district; he distributed food and anti COVID-19 materials throughout the district.
According to him, the level of work the Representative has been doing in his district can be compared to no past leader.
Meanwhile, a cross-section of citizens of the district are calling on their friends to rally around the leadership of Representative Barshell.
