Sinoe County’s district #1 Representative and Chairman on the House’s Foreign Affairs Committee, Crayton O. Duncan, says he is not overly ambitious to run after other people’s job, but if the people of Sinoe deem it necessary that he represents them at the Senate come 2024 then so be it.
“If our people see the need for me to work for the general good of the county, I will accept their request. We have one senator in the county who disturbs the peace of our people, and he behaves as if to say Sinoe County is his personal property,” Representative Duncan stated.
Addressing a team of legislative reporters upon his return from the United States of America, the Sinoe County lawmaker underscored that Senator J. Milton Teahjay is of no relevance to the county and, as such, the people of Sinoe will retire him from the Senate in 2023.
“Gone are those days when you just talked big mouth and people followed you,” Representative Duncan noted. He said that the politics in the county is changing, and the minds of the people are also changing.
The lawmaker further stated that Senator Teahjay’s eight years at the Senate is fruitless. He claimed that all Senator Teahjay “does is goes around making big mouth and speaking Kru. And even when he served as superintendent for five years in the county it was the same.”
Representative Duncan, who recently built a 100-bedroom hospital in his district, went to the states to seek medical materials for his people, and his quest to enhance the smooth flow of medical transaction for his people was realized.
He intimated that he will ensure that all of the beds in deplorable condition are changed to have a healthy environment for nurses and patients.
“I can’t wait for the materials to arrive for me to take them to Sinoe for our people to benefit immensely,” the Sinoe County lawmaker asserted.
Representative Duncan said Senator Augustine Chea, since his election, has been working for the common good of the people of Sinoe, unlike Teahjay.
Representative Duncan stated that Senator Teahjay, who was elected on the Unity Party ticket in 2014, has no face in the county anymore, and he is now running to President Weah begging him to allow him to become the CDC candidate in Sinoe County for the pending 2023 general elections.
“If Teahjay can be the face for anybody, I will be the backbone for everybody. He will not go back to be our second-term Senator. Under no arrangement will we allow him,” Representative Duncan blasted.
