Samuel Koffi Jones III, a veteran Liberian educator for over the past twenty years, has expressed his political ambition of contesting the pending 2023 representative election for district #3, Monsterrado County.
Jones noted that if he does not contest the legislative seat of the district posterity will judge him.
According to him, he believes it is time to help provide some level of good leadership to the people of district #3. He made the disclosure recently during an exclusive interview with the Hot Pepper at his office in Monrovia.
He said he thinks he is best suited, preferred, competent, capable and best qualified to stir the affairs of district #3 at the House of Representatives level of the National Legislature.
Jones said he has provided leadership to the district in the capacity as instructor and chief administrator for schools in the district and Paynesville at large, and that those years of experience in the classroom have served as a microcosm of the larger society.
Commenting on his leadership role being demonstrated over the years in the district, he stated that he has provided about 85% human resource development through his contribution to the educational sector of Liberia.
The proposed aspirant for district #3 mentioned that, upon victory in the 2023 election, top of his agenda would be youth development and infrastructure.
When questioned about his qualification, he responded as saying that he holds two master’s degrees, which automatically makes him over qualified as a candidate.
Currently, there are reports that the ruling Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC) may use Jones as the party’s candidate for the representative seat in the 2023 election.
