In accordance with the Constitution, the plenary of the Liberian Senate has concurred with the House of Representatives and authorized the passage of US$41,300,000 (forty-one million three hundred thousand United States dollars).
The decision was embedded in a communication from the Secretariat of the Liberian Senate, Senate Engrossed Bill #1, entitled, “An Act to Authorize the Government of the Republic of Liberia to Spend the Amount of USD$41,300,000.00 as Reflected the Detailed Attachment to Cover the Government Operations for the Month of February 2024”.
It can be recalled that the plenary of the House of Representatives unanimously voted on Tuesday, February 20, 2024 to approve the request made by his excellency Joseph N. Boakai to spent little over US$41 million for February 2024.
