The Seventh Edition of Humanitarian Award, an influential international award, has been won by the Secretary of the Liberian Senate, Nanborlor Singbeh, and twenty-nine eminent politicians, clergy and business tycoons in the country.
About thirty (30) personalities in total received the award granted by two international institutions, the Movement of African Women for Building Nation, and African Women for Jesus Christ to All Nations.
Other winners of the awards are Chief Justice Sie-A-Nyene Youh, Senate Pro-Tempt Nyonblee Karngar Lawrence, first and second ladies Kartumu Boakai and Synieseh Dahn Koung, Foreign Minister Sara Beysolow Nyanti, former Vice President Jewel Howard Taylor and Sister Mary Laurene.
The awards are in recognition of the role played by the personalities in defending human right and human dignity in the country, which is key in building a stable nation.
Speaking to the Hot Pepper after receiving the honor, Senate Secretary Singbeh said he never dreamed that he was being closely followed by the two reputable and independent institutions that awarded him the accolade.
He emphasized that the award, jointly given to him by the two institutions, has re-awaking his dream of protecting humanity at all levels.
Ndaborlor Singbe is a well-known journalist, human rights defender and astute administrator. As the Senate’s secretary, Singbeh plays an important role in running the affairs of the upper House of the National Legislature.
