In an effort to improve the MCSS Early Childhood Education Program, Superintendent Zawolo, along with his Senior Management Team, inspected several MCSS Early Childhood Education facilities in Sinkor and Central Monrovia on Wednesday, October 25, 2022.

The purpose of the inspection was to familiarize the heads of non-instructional departments/units with the needs of schools and to see the impact of investment, preparation for the development of the MCSS 5-year plan, consistent with Superintendent Zawolo’s Organizational Efficiency Initiative.

Selected schools for Early Childhood Education that were inspected included Rebecca J.N. Wilson,  C. William Brumskine, N.V. Massaquoi, Monrovia Elementary Demonstration School, amongst others.

Early Childhood Education, also known as nursery education, is a branch of education theory that relates to the teaching of children from birth up to the age of eight. Traditionally, this is up to the equivalent of third grade.

However, the essence of the Superintendent’s visit is to monitor the implementation and school priorities for instructional improvement.

Meanwhile, the visit to various school campuses is part of the 5-point strategic planning initiatives to advance the MCSS.
