The newly elected President of the Taekwondo Federation of Liberia, Master Junior Pewee Russian, has promised to rebrand the Taekwondo Federation of the country to a standard level during his administration.
The recently inducted President of the Taekwondo Federation noted that his victory has brought a new day for the federation among nations of the world.
Master Russian, who has served the Taekwondo Federation of Liberia in many capacities, including Captain, Heavy Weight Champion, Director, said he has come to the helm of leadership with lots of experience.
He said his victory was not a surprise because he had worked for the upliftment of the Taekwondo Federation of Liberia over the years.
Master Russian has also promised to decentralize the workings of Taekwondo across the length and breadth of Liberia. When asked about his intention to decentralize Taekwondo training in other parts of the country, he said the intention is predicated upon the growing wave of criminal activities in various communities in the country.
According to him, the intention is meant to support law and order in the country, and not to instill fear in the peaceful citizenry. He said self-defense is good for everyone because it helps keep one from danger.
Master Russian is an athlete and an award-winning gold medalist from the People’s Republic of China.
