TPI-Liberia President Calls On Liberians To Maintain The Peace Ahead Of 2023; Honored For Selfless Contributions To Society

The President of Tabital Pulaaku International-Liberia, Youssouf Barry, is calling on Liberians to maintain the peace as the nation goes to the 2023 general and presidential elections.

Barry said it is now time that all Liberians come together as one in the interest of the country by holding the peace and preaching peace messages at their various worship centers, workplaces and business sites.

He said in the coming days their organization, Tabital Pulaaku International-Liberia, will begin a nationwide campaign to tell its members and non-members, especially those of the Fula community, about the importance of holding the peace.

The TPIL President made the statement on Sunday, September 25, 2022 when he was honored and certificated by many institutions for his selflessness and meaningful contributions to the Liberian society. The program, held at the Konneh Hall, Vai Town, was aimed at recognizing Barry’s recent election as Financial Secretary of Tabital Pulaaku International (TPI) at the just-ended TPI General Assembly, held in Nigeria.

The program was graced by all the major institutions of the Fula community, including the Office of the Fula Governor, the Federation of Fula Students of Liberia (FFUSOL) and the Fulani United of Liberia (FUL). The Muslim Brotherhood, as well as other non-Fula organizations, also graced the historic occasion.

Speaking to newsmen minutes after the program, Barry categorized the honor as “motivational”, as it has reignited his consciousness to do more when it comes to giving back to the Fula tribe and the Liberian society at large.

He recognized the contribution of the Fula community toward the development of Liberia, and urged the people of Liberia to put aside their individual differences and work in the interest of Liberia for the betterment of all—Christians and Muslims.

When asked about how he sees his ascendency to the position of President of Tabital Pulaaku International-Liberia and the Financial Secretary of its parent body, Tabital Pulaaku International (TPI), Barry said he did not expect them, on ground that he did not know that people are following all that he has been doing. He said he was grateful for the trust reposed in him to stir the affair of the organization, locally and internationally.
