Baby mothers at the Redemption Hospital in New Kru Town have benefited from a US$1,100 donation of materials, a gift from Vesta Varney as she celebrated her 41st birthday. The donation included soap, Pamper, wipes, bottles, powders, and lappas, amongst other materials.
Speaking at the Redemption Hospital during the donation, Varney said the items distribution was her way of supporting struggling mothers in her childhood community.
She stated that it is important to give back, especially to those who are in need, saying it is painful to see so many children on the streets without proper care. She emphasized that children without parents deserve to be looked after.
Further speaking, she said her dream is to establish an orphanage to further help children in need, which she said will help to improve the lives of vulnerable children.
For their part, mothers who received the items extended thanks to Varney for her kind-heartedness, stating that her generosity will be remembered forever.
