“We Are Criminals, Don’t Depend On Us”–Rep. Yekeh Korlubah Says Liberians Should Fight For Themselves

Fire brand Montserrado County Representative, Yekeh Kolubah, has termed members of the 54th National Legislature as criminals who should not be depended upon for any change or redemption from the current economic and political situation of the country.

Speaking Wednesday in Gbarnga, Bong County at the start of the Unity Party national convention, Representative Kolubah said members of the current Legislature, in their majority, are chasing money and other benefits, and not the interest of the Liberian people.

“We are criminals; don’t depend on us. We are eating the country’s money while you are suffering,” Yekeh declared amidst thunderous cheers.

He urged Liberians to stand up and fight for themselves, and stop putting their trust and confidence in members of the Legislature.

Yekeh maintained that members of the 54th Legislature are as guilty as President Weah and his cabinet for the sufferings and frustration of Liberians.

He predicted that the ruling party (CDC) is planning a huge cash-driven campaign in 2023 to tempt the poor and helpless masses to get their votes.
