“West Uses Sanction To Subject People To Their Will”; EFFL’s Commander Gonquoi Says

The Commander of the Economic Freedom Fighters of Liberia (EFFL), Emmanuel Gonquoi, has pointed out that Western countries, especially the United States of America, always use sanctions to suggest people and poorest nations to their will.

“Sanctions are normal tools used by the West to suppress people and suggest countries to their will. For example, China, Russia, Cuba and Arab nations will not tell you, ‘before I build your school you have to pass gay rights or same sex marriage’ because it contravenes our African traditional beliefs,” Gonquio said.

Gonquio stated that it is time for African leaders to rise up and use state resources wisely to develop their countries and empower their citizens, noting that aid from the West has had negative implication and it cannot develop any nation.

“Aids is a tool used by the West to tie their nonsense to countries and individuals. They are getting rid of female genital mutilation, and so on, while they are infiltrating our society with their evil act due to so-called financial aid,” he said.

Gonquoi called on all African leaders to stand independent and shun the West’s subjection through aid, citing that other countries are rising up. For instance, he said, Brazil, China and Russia are rising, and if America stops you from travelling there, other countries will accept you. But always paying homage to the West is nonsense and a modern-day slavery to Africans.

“We Africans must begin to use what we have in order for our countries to benefit. We cannot continue to subject the human condition to World Bank’s opinion. Africa must rise. Liberia, we cannot continue this life. Brazil is rising up, as well as other countries too. a few few years from now, you will see that America’s sanctions will have no impact on anyone,” he said. “If you sanction me not to go to America, I will go to Russia, China and so on. Liberia has shown to the world that we have the best democracy in the world, more than America,” he stated.

He claimed that America is a gun violence and human rights violence society, which lacks the moral rectitude to badmouth African leaders for corruption and human rights abuses.

He said it is because African leaders cannot manage what they have, protect their natural resources, and develop human capacity, and so on, that is why they are being subjected to America’s sanctions.

“I will always remain radical until I die,” he said.
