The Liberian Senate has appointed and formally inducted Augustine T. Saah as Director of Press and Public Affairs.

Speaking during the induction ceremony, Saah, a career media practitioner with over fifteen years of professional experience, expressed gratitude to the leadership of the Liberian Senate and pledged his commitment to building a robust and effective Senate Press Bureau to enhance communication with the public.

Saah’s media career began at FAWUL Radio in Margibi County. He later worked at Kool FM and Truth FM, where he served as Co-host and Senior and Legislative Reporter before having a stint at the Liberia Broadcasting System (ELBC).

Augustine T. Saah also served as Secretary General of the Reporters Association of Liberia, the biggest auxiliary group of Press Union of Liberia.

In remarks delivered at the ceremony, Bibiana Blay, former Acting Director of Press and Public Affairs, welcomed Director Saah and reaffirmed the department’s readiness to continue its collaboration and dedication to the timely and effective dissemination of information to the public.

Meanwhile, the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Rules, Order, and Administration, Senator J. Gblebo Brown, who also attended the ceremony, welcomed Director Saah and commended him for earning a high score during the rigorous vetting process that preceded his appointment.

Senator Brown further assured Director Saah of the Senate leadership’s continued support for the Press Bureau and other departments within the Senate’s Central Administration.
