The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the newly established Polar Bear bar in Monrovia, Dewitt Smith, says he foresees a good business climate in the country, and called on Liberians in the diaspora to return home and get involved with investment in the country.

Speaking to the Hot Pepper in an interview during the weekend, Smith asserted that Liberia is for all Liberians, and in view of this fact Liberians in the diaspora should return home and contribute to the Liberianization process. The Liberian business tycoon, who has been involved with business for more than three decades, both in the United States of America and Liberia, said he is optimistic that Liberia will rise again in the business sector.

Smith disclosed that he is venturing into the entertainment sector because he feels that there is a need for the minds of the people to be relaxed after a hard day’s work.

The Polar Bear Bar, known as “Go to Bed Bar”, located adjacent Come-And-See Bakery, MacDonald Street, Monrovia, is expected to come alive on the eve of the 177th Independence Day, Thursday, July 25, with the aim of showcasing itself ahead of the main day. Smith has vowed to make the bar one of the best postwar entertainment centers, with high standards. “Liberia is our country, and Liberians must work harder to ensure that Liberia is on par with other nations,” he noted.
