Canada-Based Organization Donates Food Items To Physically Challenged In Liberia
The Chief Executive Officer of a Canadian-based organization, “Hope for Community Development”, a nonprofit organization, has donated food and non-food items worth several thousand United States dollars to the physically challenged in Liberia.
Ralph Dogoseh, a Liberian based in Canada and Chief Executive Officer of HCD, underscored the need for more support to be directed towards addressing challenges faced by people living with disability in Liberia.
According to Dagoseh, the condition of people living with disability across the country is appalling; as such, there is a need to address the situation.
Dagoseh said he believes that giving more support to the disabled community is the surest way of mitigating some the challenges they are going through on a daily basis.
The “Hope for Community Development” beneficiary institutions include the Christian Association of the Blind, headed by Bayam Kota, and other physically cahllenged folks living in the United Nimba community in the Mount Barclay area.
During the donation, which was well attended by community dwellers, CEO Dogoseh revealed that his institution is expected to construct a resource center for people living with disability in Liberia.
The resource center, according to him, when constructed will mainly cater to physically challenged people.
