The Carbadae Apoliebo Organization (CAPO) over the weekend inducted its new leadership at Palm Hill, Kebbeh Town community, Montserrado County.

Speaking at the induction ceremony, the Chairman of CAPO, Sennay Carlor, III, stated that each community in Carbadae District deserves access to opportunities and development.

Chairman Carlor explained that the opportunities can be in education, healthcare, sanitation, agriculture, social welfare, youth development, economic empowerment, community awareness, advocacy, among others.

He stated that CAPO is committed to bridging the gaps of positive change and development in the district. “CAPO is more than just a structure; it represents the hopes and dreams of countless individuals and communities who believe in a better future,” he disclosed.

Chairman Carlor disclosed that the first major project will begin with “Operation Shine Carbadae with Solar Panel Lights” in the 12 communities. “Our leadership has projected 150 pieces of solar lights, and we have set the official launch of this project between October 4, 2025 and December 27, 2025,” he added.

Chairman Carlor emphasized that the people of Carbadae should give back to their community, especially those residing in Monrovia as well as the diaspora.

According to him, the seven schools in Carbadae are badly damaged, and that government-erected school buildings and private school buildings are in deplorable conditions.

He indicated that schools in Carbadae are a mockery to education, and expressed hope for urgent renovation of these schools for a conducive learning environment.

Earlier, Sinoe County Senator, Crayton O. Duncan, challenged the new leadership of CAPO to speak truth to power in order for their district and county to be significantly transformed in the near future.

Senator Duncan alleged that APM Terminal has been one of the factors causing high cost of living in Liberia. According to him, APM Terminal is an alleged establishment of former President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf and former UK Prime Minister Tony Blair which prevents the National Port Authority (NPA) from operating the port for 25 years.

He said those on the national stage are not seeking the interest of the Liberian people, but their selfish ambition.

Senator Duncan assured the leadership of CAPO that the electricity project in the district will be implemented.

Those inducted are Sennay Carlor III, Chairman; Alphonso Cole, Co-Chairman; Ernest C. Sannah, General Secretary; Alex Chea, Treasurer; Virginia F. Clay, Financial Secretary; and Cecelia F. Kannah, Chaplain.
