The Chief Executive Officer of the People’s Supreme Multi-Purpose Shopping Center, Moses T. Chayee, has expressed the need for Liberian businesses to be empowered in order for them to take over the Liberian economy.

Chayee stated that no nation’s economy can perform well if it is in the hands of foreigners, noting that it is time for Liberians to take their place by beginning to take space in the People’s Supreme Muti-Purpose Shopping Center.

The CEO of People’s Multi-Purpose Shopping Center made the assertion over the weekend at the official opening of the center on Ashmun and Mechlin Streets.

According to him, the shopping center is intended to conceive, design, fashion to inspired Liberian business long for courage and not for them not to stand on the sidewalk to sell their products.

He noted that Liberians selling on the sidewalk are most often being chased by police as they enforce government regulations.

“Today we are inspired seeing streets sellers have been given a productive space to sell their products and services. The People’s Supreme Multi-Purpose Shopping Center has begun their special home,” he said.

He pointed out that it is a commercial complex built to accommodate commercial retail shops, wholesale shops, pharmacies, financial institutions, stores, restaurants, among others.

Chayee explaimed that the center will provide job opportunities for Liberians, business networking spaces, business development, innovation, collaboration, promote small-medium enterprise development along the business development value chain, and above all stimulate growth across businesses.

“Our vision to create a productive commercial hub across Liberia has been inspired by our outstanding international experience and vast understanding of Liberia’s small medium businesses,” he underscored.

He added, “It is our dream to create more of these productive economic space across Liberia that will add value to business development in Liberia.

“Our business model is designed for inclusive market opportunity that cuts across many businesses to inspire and empower Liberians,” Chayee stated.

He indicated, “Today, we celebrate not just the launch of a strong historical business complex, but the realization of a dream that embodies our collective Liberian ambitious for redefining the Liberian economy through genuine collaborations, sustained partnership and progressive business development.”

He disclosed that the People’s Supreme Multi-Purpose Shopping Center is more than just a beautiful shopping space or destination: it is a center for strong business development, access to multiple opportunities, cross-cultural sharing and innovation that drives sustainable business growth with visible long-term impacts.
