As part of its on-going effort to ensure a conducive and effective business climate in Liberia, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MoCI) is commencing an   inspection of business houses across Liberia.

The one-month inspection begins on Monday, August 29, and will be concluded on Friday, September 30, 2022.

According to a release from the ministry, the one-month nationwide inspection will affect fresh frozen food products, dairy products, building materials, stationery and beverages (drinks).

The release, signed by the Communications Director at the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Jacob N.B. Parley, says the inspection will be carried out on a daily basis from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday to Friday.

The release says the objective of the one-month nationwide inspection is to remove from the Liberian market all products that are unwholesome and hazardous, and is also in line with the Ministry’s frantic effort to discourage unfair practices in the business sector of Liberia.

The Ministry of Commerce and Industry is therefore urging all business entities that fall in the category, as indicated in the release, to cooperate with its Inspectorate Division to avoid embarrassment.
