The Deputy Managing Director for Administration and Finance of the Forestry Development Authority (FDA), Victor W. Kpaiseh, is expected to represent Liberia at the International Big Cat Alliance (IBCA) Assembly scheduled for June 16, 2025 in New Delhi, India.

The International Big Cat Alliance was established on January 23, 2025 for conservation of seven big cats in the world; Lion, Tiger, Leopard, Snow Leopard, Cheetah, Jaguar and Puma, with headquarters in India. The government of India provided US$18 million financial support for the establishment of IBCA.

Member countries of IBCA are Republic of Nicaragua, Kingdom of Eswatini, Republic of India, Federal Republic of Somalia, Republic of Liberia, Kingdom of Cambodia and the Republic of Guinea. These countries signed onto the framework agreement of IBCA and are now full-fledged members of the treaty-based inter-governmental international organization.

The FDA Deputy Managing Director for Administration and Finance, Kpaiseh, will deliver a note and present the case for Liberia during the forum. While in India, Kpaiseh will meet with other partners in the forest sector to discuss wide range of issues affecting the forest sectors around the world. He will be representing his boss, Rudolph J. Merab, of the Forestry Development Authority (FDA).
