The Director of the Executive Mansion Service (EPS), Sam Gaye, has ordered the immediate arrest of the former Director of the Liberia Agency for Community Empowerment (LACE), Pepsi Quiwo Yeke, for allegedly being in possession of the entity’s arm; writes Ojuku Silver-tongue Kangar, Jr.

“Any law enforcement officer that comes in contact with Pepsi Yeke should have him immediately detained and then contact the Executive Protection Service,” EPS’ boss Gaye said in a press statement. “Mr. Yeke is considered armed and dangerous.”

Though the EPS boss did not tell how Yeke got the arm, he said he is wanted for the illegal possession of EPS’ weapon with the following specifications: serial number 97344, making number 73, weapon type Norinco 22 Pistol.

But in response to Director Gaye’s allegation, Yeke said, “I consider this as a threat on my life, and is asking you to retrieved your statement within 24 hours and follow the proper procedure.”

In continuation, Yeke said, “If you’re incapable of understanding the task at hand, seek guidance from your former colleagues rather than flaunting your ignorance. To date, I have not received a formal request for the EPS weapon legally assigned to me, yet you rashly label me as armed and dangerous.”

He berated Gaye, saying his sheer incompetence in adhering to procedures has not only led him to behaving like a maniac, but also to publicly demonstrate his inability to handle even the simplest of tasks, adding that if Gaye lacks the capacity he should rest assured that he does not; submit an official request and follow the proper procedure for EPS weapon turnover to ensure meticulous documentation.

“Your failure to fulfill your duties not only reflects poorly on yourself but also on the integrity of the Boakai government,” Yeke said.  “What justification do you have for baselessly branding me as armed and dangerous? It seems you have arrived at your new assignment with a personal vendetta against Pepsi Yeke.”
