The Economic Students Association (ESA) of the 105th Graduating Class of the Department of Economics at the University of Liberia has inducted its leadership into office. The occasion was held at the Capitol Hill Auditorium of the university.
Speaking at the induction ceremony on Thursday January 22, 2026, the Class President, Victor C. Nagbe, stated that, as a class they have identified a project with collective purpose and vision: the refurbishment of the economics laboratory.
President Nagbe emphasized the provision of classroom lecterns to support effective educational service delivery at the University of Liberia. He pointed out that this vision is commendable and necessary to transform the learning environment at the state-run university.
He emphasized that leaders should not use the opportunity for exploitation, but with collective effort and collaboration identify solution to solve shared problems.
President Nagbe maintained that the refurbishing the economics laboratory will go a long way in improving the learning process for students and teachers on campus.
According to him, the project to refurbish the laboratory is soliciting support from veterans of ESA across the country.
Meanwhile, the Assistant Dean of Student Affairs of the University of Liberia, Dean Samuel F. Argbason, said it is critical to ensure transparency and accountability in the execution of the project. Dean Argbason stated that without accountability it could be difficult to earn partners’ trust for future endeavors.
According to him, leadership requires authority. He stated that the people will always talk, but the leadership should be committed to executing their projects.
