Speaking over the weekend, ACTs boss, John Kucuyoiyoigee, commended the Government of Liberia (GOL) for the steps taken thus far in the launch of its policy in the agricultural sector. He said the new agriculture policy should be welcomed by every farmer at home and abroad.

According to Kucuyoiyoigee, farmers are key to Liberia’s economic growth, noting that agriculture is the bedrock to any developing countries, with Liberia been no exception of growth and development within the agricultural sector. He promised to be one of the suppliers of major products within the Liberian market very soon.

ACTs has empowered rural farmers, particularly women with seedings, and also provided training to farmers in agricultural formalities.

When questioned about the driving force behind his version within the agricultural of Liberia, he responded as saying that his driving force is his passion to eat what he grows and to put Liberia products among competitors on the global markets.

Currently, ACTs has embarked on 50,000 Cocoa seedings project in Zorzor and Voinjama districts, Lofa County, for farmers in that part of Liberia.
