Fire Service Receives 6 New Vehicles
As part of effort by President George Manneh Weah’s government to support the Liberia National Fire and Rescue Service (LNFRS), the government has procured six brand new vehicles for the operational use of the firefighting entity.
The Director of the LNRFS, Col. Alex Dickson, disclosed that additional five mini fire trucks and one ambulance are expected soon.
When the Hot Pepper visited the headquarters of the Liberia National Fire and Service (LNFRS) on Newport Street, it observed a number of sectional heads of the entity smiling when Col. Dickson was heard saying, “President George Manneh Weah’s government is the first government ever to prioritize the fire department and, as such, we should be committed to protecting lives and properties.”
Col. Dickson turned the vehicles over to the sectional heads, many of whom are, for the first time, to be assigned with new vehicles since the establishment of the fire department.
Receiving the keys to the vehicles, the sectional heads described Col. Dickson’s leadership as people-centered, noting that his style of leadership at the LNRFS is unprecedented.
