The Government of Liberia (GOL) has procured twelve (12) state-of-the-art X-ray machines to strengthen the country’s diagnostic capacity and improve healthcare delivery across health facilities.

The machines, which are currently housed at the Central Medical Stores (CMS) near Monrovia, will soon be distributed to major hospitals nationwide.

The newly acquired equipment includes 20/32KW Mobile X-ray Photography System, model YSX-mDR20B, which features a robotic arm capable of moving with precision and flexibility to capture clear imaging.

According to a Ministry of Health press release, the procurement of these machines marks a great effort in the government’s efforts to decentralize specialized healthcare services and provide timely, accurate diagnostic support to patients.

The YSX-mDR20B is designed with modern features that enhance efficiency in medical imaging, making it ideal for both emergency and routine medical cases. Its mobility allows for use in different hospital departments, including emergency wards, intensive care units, and surgical theaters.

Distribution to hospitals is expected to begin in the coming weeks as part of the ministry’s on-going strategy to upgrade Liberia’s healthcare infrastructure.
