The Liberia Drug Enforcement Agency (LDEA) on September 22, 2025 recognized Commander Abdullah F. Kromah of the LDEA Iron Gate Detachment, and his men for their recent efforts that led to the Jah Tondo Town huge drug bust.

During a brief ceremony held at LDEA’s headquarters, in the presence of senior officers, commanders and Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Fitzgerald Biago, on behalf of the interim leadership, commended officer Kromah and his team for their efforts, which led to one of the country’s biggest efforts in curtailing drug abuse.

As a mark of appreciation, the OIC presented a new uniform set and boots to Officer Kromah for his hard work.

According to DCP Biago, the gesture is a symbol of appreciation from the LDEA leadership.

In response, Commander Kromah expressed gratitude to DCP Biago, his deputies—Col. Ernest Tarpeh and ACP Patrick Kormazu—and the Liberian people for their on-going support in the fight against illegal drugs. He also urged his fellow officers to remain steadfast and diligent, assuring them that their hard work would not go unnoticed.
