Liberia’s Eminent Peace Ambassador, Sammy David, was among several world dignitaries who attended the launch of the first Africa Peace Campaign, held in Uganda, East Africa.

Speaking with the Hot Pepper upon his return from Uganda, Ambassador David said the just-ended peace campaign was meant to foster peace among African countries of the United Nations.

He said during the conference the issue of capacitating the younger generation was key on the agenda.

According to Liberia’s Eminent Peace Ambassador, youth development topped the agenda at the conference, predicated upon the fact that in most cases in Africa the young people are being used for violence.

Ambassador David noted that violence has the propensity of undermining peace within the African region, and that Liberian youth are no exception to the act of violence.

Against this backdrop, the country’s Eminent Peace Ambassador wants the Government of Liberia (GOL) to focus its attention on developing the younger generation of Liberia in order to address the challenges the country may be confronted with in the future.

He said youth development is key to any nation. He at the same time applauded the Government of Liberia (GOL) for its efforts made in addressing the issue of youth development.

He also used this medium to call on the young people of Liberia to see reason to prioritize transformation within themselves.

Providing more information on the just-ended peace conference, the Liberia Eminent Peace Ambassador said the following diplomats attended the event: His Excellency Ambassador Per Stafsen, the World Peace President from Denmark, His Excellency Ambassador Emmanuel Nkweke, the World Peace Spokesman from Nigeria, Ambassador Samuel Ben Owusu from Ghana, among other ambassadors.

Ambassador David has been in the vanguard advocating for peace and providing support to vulnerable youth for years.

He is also the founder of the God’s Family Church International, which is one of the populated churches in the City of Paynesville.

He is the country director of the International Association of World peace Advocates.
