Three Liberty Party (LP) partisans, Romeo Coker, Jeremy Russell and Napoleon Weah, have dragged to court the Chairman of the party, Musa Hassan Bility, and the Secretary General, Martin S. Kollah, for forgery, criminal conspiracy and criminal facilitation.

Bility and Kollah stand accused by the partisans of conniving, conspiring and purposely, criminally and intentionally altering the constitution of the Liberty Party (LP) after its convention and submitting same to the National Elections Commission (NEC), knowing fully well that they were not authorized to do so.

Meanwhile, the Stipendiary Magistrate of the Monrovia City Court, His Honor Judge Jomah S. Jallah, has issued a writ of arrest for Bility and Kollah, instructing the Magistrate Police to bring the accused before the court to answer to the crimes of forgery, criminal conspiracy and criminal facilitation based upon the oath and complaint of the Republic of Liberia by and thru the Ministerial Officer, plaintiff.

According to the writ of arrest, “During the period of January A.D. 2021, in the City of Monrovia, Montserrado County, and Gbarnga, Bong County, respectively, Republic of Liberia, the within named defendants being there and then with the intent to deceive the membership and partisans of the Liberty Party as well as the public, connived and conspired, and purposely, criminally and intentionally did alter the constitution of the Liberty Party after its convention and submitted the said documents to the National Elections Commission (NEC), knowing fully well that they were not authorized to do so, neither were they the conveners of the said convention with wicked and criminal intent.”

The writ noted that the alleged act of the defendants, being unlawful, criminal, illegal and intentional, is in violation of section 15.70 and 10.2, 10.3 of the New Penal Law of Liberia.
