LIS Embarks On Nationwide Recruitment

Authorities of the Liberia Immigration Service (LIS) have embarked on nationwide recruitment across Liberia.

   The on-going recruitment exercise of the LIS is geared toward replacing the hundreds of officers of the Liberia Immigration Service (LIS) who are expected to be retired by the Civil Servants Agency (CSA) from July to September 2024.

   Since July 22, 2024 LIS started receiving applications from across the country in varied categories of employment. Applicants are only Liberian citizens between ages 18 and 35 years.

   All applicants should have completed, minimal, high school, and be free from narcotic drugs. According to information gathered, applicants should come along with their letter of application, resume, high school diploma, WAEC/ WASSCE certificate, four passport-sized photos with red background, police clearance, national identification card (compulsory), letter of recommendation from the following: Last school attended, community, church/mosque or other faiths.

   Following the submission of packages, short-listed applicants will do written and physical tests, issued across the country at various locations: Montserrado County applicants, LIS Headquarters, Mamba Point, Monrovia; Grand Bassa, Rivercess and Margibi (Region 1) applicants, Buchanan city; Gbarpolu, Bomi and Grand Cape Mount (Region 2) applicants, Tubmanburg city; Nimba, Bong and Lofa (Region 3) applicants, Gbarnga city; and Grand Gedeh, Maryland, River Gee, Grand Gedeh and Sinoe (Region 4) applicants, Fish Town city.

   Accordingly, the final list of qualified recruits from the written and physical tests conducted across the country will be published by August 12, 2024, and all successful applicants will move to the LIS Training Academy (LISTA) in Foya, Lofa County, from August 13—14, 2024.

   Formal training starts on Monday, August 19, 2024.

   Since July hundreds of applicants, mainly young people, have been trooping at the offices of the LIS across Liberia.
