Aggrieved numerators and supervisors of the National Housing and Population Census recently conducted by the Liberia Institute of Statistics and Geo-Information Services (LISGIS) are demanding their unsettled arrears owe them.

Speaking on Monday to a team of reporters at the compound of LISGIS, the spokesman, Selekie M Tullay, a resident of New Kru Town, said they have not received any salaries since the climax of the census.

According to them, some of the numerators got their pay after the census, but for them they have not received anything yet.

They threatened to disturb normal working activities if LISGIS failed to address their issue in the upcoming days.

Addressing the matter, the Acting Director General of LISGIS, Lawrence George, promised that full payment is expected to be made soon.

George said the institution is working out modalities to settle the matter, and encouraged the numerators to remain calm.
