The Liberia Petroleum Refining Company (LPRC) on Friday, December 15, 2023 had its 17th circle of its retirement program, alongside their Employees’ Appreciation Day, in the compound of the Product Storage Terminal (PST).

Seven employees were retired while others were certificated for the pivotal role they have played in their respective call of duty in categories like contractor of year, employee of year and assistant manager of year.

Those retired were Wonder Brown, Janitor, General Support Services Section (GSSS); Helen Y. Brown, Senior Training Officer; J. Emmanuel Miller, Draft Man, Technical Services Section; Gabriel T. Wlalee, Dispatcher, General Support Services Section (GSSS); Menia P. Zarpoe, Driver, General Support Services Section (GSSS); Hawa J.Q. Toe, Account Reconciliation Officer, Finance Department; and Peter N. Kpao, Security Officer, Security Section.

Some were retired for long service and age.

Employees who received honors for going beyond the call of duty were Sylvester Naplah, contractor of year; Melvin Kennedy, Employee of Year; and Veronica King, Assistant Manager of the Year.

Speaking during the occasion, Managing Director Marie Urey Coleman thanked the retirees for their outstanding contributions to the growth and development of LPRC.

The program was graced by the members of the company, senior management, friends and relatives of the retirees and the LPRC workforce.
