Since the ascendency of the new boss of the Monrovia Consolidate School System (MCSS), lots of developments have been taking place at the various facilities of the MCSS. The new MCSS Superintendent, Isaac Saye Lakpoh Zawolo, said he got the ground running with five pillars since his coming to the institution.

According to him, his leadership was able to design strategic initiatives aimed at improving the workings of the MCSS: academic excellence, organization efficiency, corporate community school partnership and teachers’ welfare.

He said several new measures have been put in place to improve the services of the MCSS to the public.

Explaining more, the Superintend of the MCSS noted that they have improved on the supervisory arm of the MCSS to look at issues confronting its workings in the country. He said they have divided the MCSS workings into clusters, to include central Monrovia clutser, Sinkor cluster and Bushrod Island cluster.

According to him, his leadership has created content supervisors, who are there to supervise English, math, social studies and science.

The new MCSS boss also commented that they have created primary education supervisors and early childhood development supervisors. When questioned about the rationale behind the creation of these many supervisors at the MCSS, he answered as saying that it puts the MCSS in full compliance with the Ministry of Education’s curriculum.

Zawolo stated that they also created general supervisors at the MCSS. According to him, general supervisors are there to checkmate the performance of teachers, collect full data of schools and make sure they are exactly performing in accordance with best practice.

He disclosed that they have issued contract for the refurbishing of the chemistry, biology and physics laboratories at D. Tweh High School.
