Min. Kruah presents certificate of honor to Assistant Minister Yealu

The Minister of Posts and Telecommunications, Cllr. Cooper W. Kruah Sr., and his team of appointed officials certificated the Assistant Minister for Administration, Melvin L. Yealu, for his academic achievement, masters of economics, from the Cuttington University.

On Wednesday, April 21, 2021 Minister Kruah presented a certificate of honor on behalf of the senior staff of the ministry, in recognition of the Assistant Minister for Administration’s hard work and achievement.

The Cuttington University is a private university in SuacocoLiberia. Founded in 1889 as Cuttington College by the Episcopal Church of the United States (ECUSA), it is the oldest private, coeducational, four-year, degree-granting institution in sub-Saharan Africa.

According to Minister Kruah, he has always seen the young Assistant Minister as his son, and admired his hard work within the ministry. He used the occasion to encourage other ministers and thank them for the level of unity they have brought to help push President Weah’s pro-poor agenda.

Minister Kruah promised to lobby for other opportunities to help any of his deputies achieve their goal, either in learning or traveling experience.

Also speaking at the short honoring program was the Deputy Minister for Administration, who said it was a brilliant idea for the senior staff to hold together and recognize the effort of their youngest appointed official of the ministry.

In response to the unexpected program, the Assistant Minister of Administration, Melvin L. Yealu, said he was speechless to witness and be a part of such a recognition. “Words are inadequate to express…,” he stated.

He further added that, since his appointment to work along with Minister Kruah at the ministry, he has seen him not only as his boss but also as his father.

He appreciated the kind gesture of gifts from his colleagues, and promised to continue to work in the interest of the government and ensure that Minister Krauh’s goal is accomplished and remembered at the ministry. He also recognized the effort of the new Deputy Minister for Operation: his hard work to move the ministry forward.
