Momoh David Exposes Fahngon And Gao Feng’s Conspiracy
In a shocking turn of events, Momoh David has come forward with a detailed account accusing Eugene Fahngon, Director General of the Liberia Broadcasting System (LBS), of orchestrating a campaign of false allegations and public deception against businessman Michael Shio.
David alleges that Fahngon, driven by a personal vendetta and acting on behalf of his Chinese associate Gao Feng (aka Barry), conspired to defame Shio. The scheme reportedly involved fabricating claims of torture, bribing witnesses, and manipulating judicial processes, all in an effort to destroy Shio’s reputation and force his deportation from Liberia.
David, who admitted to being caught stealing from Shio’s construction site on January 13, 2025, maintains that he was never tortured by Shio or his security team. He further revealed that he suffered unrelated burns from an LEC electrical fire on January 17, 2025, and was admitted at ELWA Hospital that same day. However, on February 8, 2025, 28 days after leaving Shio’s premises, Officer R13 from Zone 3 Police Station allegedly coerced him into signing a backdated false statement. Officer R13 reportedly assured him that Fahngon would provide compensation in exchange for fabricating accusations against Shio.
According to David, Fahngon personally visited his home on February 12, 2025, offering $500, food supplies, and the promise of a concrete house provided David falsely testified against Shio. Additionally, he claims that four other individuals were each paid $500 to support the fabricated story. Shockingly, Fahngon also allegedly provided $1,500 to Oneikeh B. Flomo to organize people to set fire to Michael Shio’s house.
David further alleges that when Fahngon realized that the medical report completely contradicted the accusations against Shio, he escalated the matter at the House of Representatives. According to David, Fahngon assured him that Gao Feng had already paid certain lawmakers to ensure Shio’s public humiliation and deportation. As part of this plan, Fahngon allegedly arranged for an LBS vehicle to transport David and his family to the Legislature, where he was instructed to strip naked and display his wounds to manipulate public sympathy and further implicate Shio. This claim was previously exposed by Representative Yekeh Kolubah, who revealed that Gao Feng had allegedly paid $300,000 to members of the House of Representatives to secure Shio’s deportation.
Despite the fact that Shio’s case was already pending before Criminal Court A, the House of Representatives still summoned him for an investigation. In response, Shio’s legal team formally informed the House that, under the doctrine of sub judice, Shio could not discuss the case publicly outside of the court. However, the House of Representatives insisted that Shio appear before its Judicial Committee for a hearing. As a result, Shio’s legal team filed a petition for a Writ of Prohibition to the Supreme Court of Liberia against the House of Representatives. In response, Her Honor Ceaneh Clinton Johnson issued a stay order against the House and scheduled a hearing for March 19, 2025. However, neither the lawyers nor the members of the House appeared for the hearing.
David claims that since the petition for a Writ of Prohibition was filed, Fahngon has refused to answer his calls and has failed to fulfill his promise to build the concrete house for his family. Feeling betrayed, David angrily stated that he now realizes his efforts to support Fahngon and Gao Feng’s false accusations only made Fahngon rich, while he received nothing in return.
David declared, “I was desperate and misled. I now realize that Eugene Fahngon only wanted to use me to attack Michael Shio and profit from Barry (Gao Feng).”
The public now awaits an official response from Eugene Fahngon and the authorities regarding these serious allegations.
