The National Civil Society Union of Liberia (NACSUL) is expected to honor several personalities on Friday, January 7, 2021 for their outstanding performance during the under review.

NACSUL is a movement that promotes transparency, checkmates activities of public and private officials and digs out ills in the Liberian society.

Among those expected to be honored are Senator Albert Chie, Representative J. Fonati Kofa, Representative Johnson Gwaikolo, Minister Nathaniel F. McGill, Minister Samuel D. Tweah, Ambassador Nora Finda Bundoo, J. Henric Pearson, Bill Tweahway, Emma Glasco, Johnny Kpehe, Youssouf Barry, Dominic Nimely and Ambassador Julie Endee.

Royal Grand Hotel, Doxxbet Liberia, Petro Trade, United Bank of Africa (UBA), Hot Pepper, Spoon TV and Prime F.M. are among institutions to also be honored by the civil society movement on Friday.

Speaking to the Hot Pepper on Wednesday, January 5, 2022, the Secretary General of NACSUL, Alexander Williams, disclosed that his institution nominated names for a number of categories, vetted them properly and shortlisted those to be honored on Friday as the most outstanding performers for each of their categories.

According to him, NACSUL recently held its national retreat in Ganta, Nimba County, and there the decision was made to honor the personalities and institutions.

He explained that categories earmarked by NACSUL include humanitarian of the year, banker of the year, peace ambassador of the year, statesman of the year, administrator of the year, personality of the year and entrepreneur of the year. Also, he said, institutions will be honored for their outstanding performance in their various categories.

Williams informed the Hot Pepper that the honoring ceremony will be held in the conference hall of Royal Grand Hotel at 12:00 noon.

He used the occasion to inform the honorees to turn up for the official certification, as they have earned the institution’s honor based on their performance while the nation suffered from the COVID-19 plague in 2021.
