Hundreds of Liberian nurses from across the country are expected today to begin getting training from an international organization under the banner, “Nurse2Nurse”, in partnership with the Ministry of Health.

Nurse2Nurse is a Liberia-based international organization which focuses on building the capacity of Liberian nurses in line with international best practices.

Speaking during the arrival of the Nurse2Nurse delegates from the United States of America at the Ministry of Health (MOH) headquarters in Congo Town, J. Kolu Mator, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Nurse2Nurse, noted that the purpose of their visit, once more, is to strengthen the workings of nurses in Liberia.

According to her, the four-day intensive training will provide each participating nurse with working equipment for the discharge of their duties as modern nurses.

Mator stated that the training will also focus on head-to-toe assessment, CPR, vital signs, among others, which will be highlighted during the four-day nursing training.

At the end of the Nurse2Nurse training, according to information gathered, nurses who have attended the training will be certificated. Stakeholders in the health sector of Liberia are also expected to grace the training.

Nurse2Nurse brought in some of it members to conduct the training: J. Kolu Mator, CEO, Joseph F. Mator, Jozelle L. Mator, Jusu Williams, Famatta Williams, Martha Dargbeh, Rachel M.  Bloe, Yvonne Roberts- Martin, Ophelia Vah, Lovo D. Koliego, Princess Darway, Esther Neah, Irene Roberts-Gulle, Amelia Gaylor- Attia, Brenda Johnson, and Kau Dolopei- Alpha.

Majority of the Nurse2Nurse delegates are females.
