The ultra-modern facility, officially named Orange Icon 16, is set to mark a new chapter for Orange Liberia, signifying a bold statement of commitment to the country’s development, digital future, and national identity.
Beyond offering a modern workspace for its employees and partners, the landmark infrastructure is designed to reflect the company’s growing investment in Liberia’s economy. The grand-opening event aims to communicate a clear message of belonging, growth, and shared purpose to Liberians, driving home Orange Liberia’s powerful ‘This is Home’ campaign theme.
Chief Executive Officer Orange Liberia, Jean Marius Yao, said, the upcoming launch reinforces the company’s brand promise that it is not only in the country to stay, but to lead—through unrivalled investments in technology, a strong commitment to sustainable growth, and by standing with Liberians as a trusted partner in development.
“This is more than just a building, Orange Icon 16 is a powerful symbol of who we are and what we stand for. It is a home for ideas, innovation, and collaboration, but more importantly, a bold expression of our long-term vision for Liberia. This space reflects our dedication to growing with the country, empowering communities, and driving sustainable progress, side by side with the people we serve,” he said.
Located in the heart of the capital city, the new headquarters is set to become a visible landmark and operational anchor for Orange’s activities in Liberia and the broader West African region. Company officials say the building has been designed to meet modern sustainability and connectivity standards, offering a future-ready environment for employees and stakeholders. Built to the standards of a world-class telecommunications hub, the facility spans 4,700 square meters and features modern offices, open-plan workspaces, and meeting rooms outfitted with LED lighting and solar-powered energy systems.
At the heart of the building is a 250-square-meter smart store—an innovative, interactive space dedicated to showcasing new technologies to employees and visitors alike. The headquarters also houses a 170-seat auditorium equipped with the latest audio-visual technology, offering a high-quality environment for conferences, training sessions, and professional events.
With the unveiling, Orange Liberia is expected to bring together key stakeholders from the government, the private sector, and civil society to celebrate its evolution from a service provider to a major contributor to Liberia’s digital and economic transformation.
Since entering the Liberian market in 2016, Orange Liberia has supported the national economy with $291 million in contributions through 2024. The new edifice reflects the telecom company’s ambition to further shape Liberia’s digital economy and play a greater role in regional connectivity and innovation. The telecoms company has also significantly improved digital inclusion, while it has driven a range of community initiatives, including youth empowerment and education programs, health campaigns, and business development. According to Yao, the new headquarters is set to build on that legacy while setting the tone for the future.
