–In Death of Three (3) Boys

The Liberia National Police (LNP) has finally declared the Proprietor of the St. Moses Funeral Parlor, Moses Ashossouhle, and Abraham Samuels (who were accused of killing three boys in October 2020) innocent as investigation could not establish criminality on the part of the accused.

The LNP Inspector General, Gregory Coleman, addressing a new conference on July 23, 2024, stated that a blue canoe of six occupants capitalized while crossing over the St. Paul River, and three persons survived: Andrew Sumo, Cephas Momo and Daniel Kolleh, while three persons, Siafia Boimah, Robert Blamo Jr. and Bobby Gbeanquoi, submerged into the river.

The LNP boss added that law enforcement officers and residents of the area jointly mounted a search for the missing men and after two weeks a lifeless body was discovered drifting in the St. Paul River about two miles from where the canoe capsized.

According to him, the corpse was identified by eye witnesses, including witness Jerry Sumo, to be that of Siafa Boimah. All body parts were observed to be intact.

The LNP boss quoted chapter 25, sub chapter 25.3 of the Civil Procedure Law of the Republic of Liberia with caption, “Presumption of Life and Death”, which states that if a person goes missing, if he is not heard from or communicated within for the period of seven years, he is presumed dead.
