The Chief Executive Officer of the Professional Skill Training Center (PSTC), Du-Port Road, Paynesville, James Massaboi, in an exclusive interview with Hot Pepper said his institution is concerned with community empowerment in order to capacitate the youth for possible employment. According to Massaboi, PSTC was established in 2009 for the purpose of empowering Liberians with skill training.

Massaboi said, in addition to community empowerment, the school is also concerned with skill training, public safety training activities and capacitating the youth for job opportunities.

According to PSTC’s Director, Lusene Talawallay, the school is the only vocational school in Montserrado County that provides heavy-duty driving trainings, both practical and theoretical, disclosing that the school also offers standard driving, electricity training, among other.

Director Talawallay said the institution empowers Liberians to be marketable and self-employed through quality skills, which is contributing immensely to the pro-poor agenda. He called on the youth to take advantage of PSTC trainings to be equipped for the job market for possible employment or self-employment.
