The Joint Security has announced the safety protocol for the pending State-of-Nation Address of President Joseph N. Boakai, which is slated for Monday, January 29, 2024, at the Capitol Building, Capitol Hill, Monrovia.

According to a release issued by the Joint Security, operators of vehicles, motorbikes and “kehkehs” are urged to adhere to these measures: that regular traffic will be allowed to flow up until 3:00 p.m. on Monday, January 29, when vehicles plying from ELWA junction through Tubman Boulevard towards Central Monrovia will be diverted from Vamoma Junction through Sinkor by assigned officers.

Also, vehicles plying from Central Monrovia through Sinkor will be diverted through Jallah Town.

The joint security warned the public to stay clear of the Capitol Building if they do not have any role to play with the State-of-Nation Address.

According to the release, regular traffic through Capitol Hill is expected to resume immediately after the President’s convoy shall have left the Capitol Building.

The Joint Security however apologized for any inconveniences the protocol may cause.
