The President’s Young Professionals Program Class-13 President, Teddy E. Seyon, has urged young Liberians to build their capacity professionally.

President Seyon stated that the program, which was initiated 16 years ago, has built the capacity of several young Liberians in their specializations in various government ministries and agencies for two years for each class over the years.

The Class-13 President made the disclosure Tuesday when the President’s Young Professionals Program Class-13 organized a one-day info session for the recruitment for Class-14 process, held at the University of Liberia Capitol Hill Campus in Monrovia.

According to him, the info session is intended to provide basic information to potential applicants who intend to enroll in the President’s Young Professionals Program, which lasts for two years for graduation.

He indicated that the enrollment process is based on merit and not “who know you basis”, which has set high standard for young Liberians that graduate from various universities across the country with averages of 3.0 GPA and above, including good character with passion to be accepted.

President Seyon stated that after the candidates have worked for two years in various government ministries and agencies at the professional level, the Civil Service Agency (CSA) can then absorb them as public servants in government.

He disclosed that each class has 40 young professionals from various school of studies, like in medicine, engineering, agriculture, among others, to help develop the manpower of the nation.

He explained that the President’s Young Professionals Program has been effective over the years, equipping young graduates from different universities with bachelor and master’s degrees in the country and abroad.

President Seyon emphasized that young Liberians graduating from universities should take advantage of the President’s Young Professionals Program to professionally strengthen their career paths in the job market.
