Ahead of the 2023 presidential and general elections, citizens of Jedepo and Pynes towns, Sinoe County, have petitioned Representative Crayton Old-man Duncan of electoral district #1 to contest for the senatorial seat.
The decision of the citizens of Jedepo, district #2, and Pynes Town, district #3, Sinoe County, to petition Representative Duncan to contest for the senatorial seat of the county is due to the numerous developmental works he has undertaken across the county over the years.
The Sinoe County district #1 Representative, since his election to the position in 2017, has been concerned about the well-being of the citizens of the county.
According to the citizens of the county, Representative Duncan is widely known throughout Sinoe County as “talk and do”.
Hundreds of Sinoe citizens who gathered at the petition ceremony described Representative Duncan as a people-centered leader whose doors are always open to citizens of Sinoe County. They said he has impacted the lives of thousands of young people who are making headways in the county and the society at-large, and has made lots of contributions to the health and educational sectors of the county.
Presently, Representative Duncan is constructing a modern city hall for the citizens of Jedepo in Ducorfree, to be named in honor of the late Jay Nagbe Sloh.
While on the tour, Representative Duncan visited Voogbardee, the home town of Representative Matthew G. ZarZar, district #3, Sinoe County.
The citizens in Voogbardee Town encouraged their son, Representative Duncan, to contest for the senatorial seat in the 2023 elections based on the numerous developmental works he has carried out in the entire county.
At the end of the ceremony, Voogbadee City and nearby towns and villages along the road received a little over L$300,000 from Representative Duncan for refreshment purposes.
According to investigation, Pynes Town is one of the biggest places in Sinoe County that petitioned Representative Duncan.
The Sinoe County district #1 lawmaker has brought in a company that is currently operating in the county, helping to buttress the efforts of the government in terms of providing jobs for the citizens of Sinoe County.
The citizens are of the conviction that if Representative Duncan is elected senator they stand to benefit from his leadership.
It can be recalled recently that Sinoe citizens residing in New Kru Town petitioned Representative Crayton O. Duncan to contest the senatorial seat of the county in the impending 2023 general and presidential elections.
