The Union of Liberian Associations in the Americas (ULAA) has called for calm, respect of the Supreme Court ruling, and security protection for the members of the Judiciary.

ULAA is the umbrella organization representing Liberians and Liberian associations across north, central and south America.

In a release issued March 26, 2025, ULAA said, “As the Supreme Court of Liberia prepares to issue its much-anticipated ruling concerning the leadership dispute in the Honorable House of Representatives, ULAA urges all Liberians—both at home and abroad—to remain calm, peaceful and respectful of the outcome.

“We call on the parties involved in the on-going dispute within the House of Representatives to respect the decision of the Supreme Court. The strength of our democracy is measured by our collective willingness to submit to the rule of law and the institutions empowered by our Constitution.”

ULAA strongly appealed with President Joseph N. Boakai to honor the request of the Supreme Court for increased security protection for the Chief Justice and Associate Justices, especially in these sensitive times leading to, and following, the court’s decision. They emphasized that the Judiciary must be allowed to perform its Constitutional duties in an atmosphere free of fear, intimidation or violence.

The group reiterated its unwavering commitment to peace, democracy and national unity. “We urge all Liberians to prioritize dialogue over division, rule of law over lawlessness and patriotism over partisanship,” commented ULAA National President, Mohammed “MSGI” Keita. “Liberia is our common home, and its preservation depends on our shared commitment to peace and justice,” he observed.
