UNIBOA President Salutes President-Elect Amb. Boakai

The President of the United Bassa Organizations in the Americas (UNIBOA), Abraham William, has congratulated President-elect, Ambassador Joseph N. Boakai, for his historical victory at the just-ended presidential run-off election held on November 14, 2023.

   Equally so, UNIBOA President William commended out-going President, George Weah, for demonstrating democratic maturity by honestly conceding defeat and congratulating his rival for his victory.

   President William indicated that President Weah’s political showmanship points out that, indeed, Liberia’s democracy is not only getting better, but that growth and development are also on a praiseworthy and clearly defined trajectory.

   He explained that, while UNIBOA is an organization of Bassa people in the diaspora that seeks to provide solutions to Liberia’s societal issues, it firmly stands and supports Liberia’s peace and development agenda.

   UNIBOA President William challenged all Liberians, despite political leanings, to collectively seize the opportunity and the new horizon to make Liberia a place of massive growth and development, coupled with peace and opportunity for all to excel to their fullest potential.
