On March 26, 2023 the Concerned Youth for Progress, headed by Steve H.T. Dahn, and the Association of Dream Builder, headed by Lawrence Dayougar, launched the “Women Empowerment Summit” of Paynesville.

At the program, which over 500 women attended, Vice President Taylor served as the keynote speaker and chief launcher, and promised L$1,500,000 for the empowerment of Paynesville City women groupings  through the two organizations.

Her pledge, which gave single mothers, widows, determined girls from across the city of Paynesville, hope, was fulfilled on Wednesday, September 13, 2023 after seven months of waiting patiently.

“We targeted L$2,000,000 to help our women,” Dayougar said. “Today, we were able to disperse L$1,500,000 to help empower our women across Paynesville, in terms of scholarship, empowerment, and so on”.

Elaborating on women’s marginalization here, he stated that for time in memorial society has believed that women cannot climb professional ladders.

“We try to bring issues affecting women to the spotlight,” Dayougar said. “So we are calling on men, all genders worldwide that this culture should end.”

Apart from the Vice President’s financial aid, Minister of Public Work, Pastor Alfred Mayson of Christ Embassy, and others have been contributing to the women empowerment in Paynesville, according to Dahn.

“This is an initiative for the Concerned Youth for Progress and the Association of Dream Builder, and is being financed by the Vice President, who is a chief sponsor,” Dahn pointed out.

The L$1.5 million empowerment fund benefited 26 women groups and 200 women.

Each group received a sealed white enveloped with L$50,000, according to Dayougar and Dahn, who dispersed the fund to the women in Du-Port Road Seekey Community at the Victory Church.

“This gesture is beyond political parties, and the intention is to see how best to empower our women academically. Very big thanks to the Vice President and others,” Dahn said. “We are overwhelmingly impressed by the level of support when it comes to women empowerment in the city of Paynesville.”

The L$50,000 dollars each group received will buttress their already individual initiative.

In separate remarks, heads of the women groups, who received the empowerment funds showered praises on the Vice President for her financial support to them, and with unity tones they thanked Dayougar and Dahn for sincerity for handling and distributing it without being partial and with ulterior motive.

“It has taken a long period of time since the Vice President promised us. We have forgotten about it. But we thank Lawrence and his friend, who are young and not crooked, and still remembered us when the money landed in their hands,” the women said.

In a related development, the dual organizations will launch a scholarship fund drive on September 28, 2023, to enable youths across the city go to schools of their choice so that they can become educated and independent .
